Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (“SAVE”) provides this blog and the other resources on this website (“Services”) subject to the terms and conditions of use (“Terms”) contained herein. By accessing, creating or contributing to the blog or any other pages hosted on this website, and in consideration for the Services we provide to you, you agree to abide by these terms. Please read them carefully before accessing or using the Services. As stated in the email you received when requesting an account, accessing the site and establishing a new password indicates acknowledgement that you have read and agreed to these Terms of Use and Service.

SAVE does not assume any responsibility for content provided by third parties or other providers. SAVE does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of or otherwise endorse information provided by any organization or individual in this blog. Although SAVE retains full right and privilege to delete and/or remove any statement(s) or posting(s) that violate the Terms of Use and Service, SAVE assumes no responsibility for the failure to remove or for delay in removing material that violates the Terms of Use and Service.

Editorial Guidelines

SAVE’s decisions about comments on this blog are informed by, among others, the Suicide Prevention and Resource Center’s SPRC “Safe and Effective Messaging for Suicide Prevention” which offers evidence-based recommendations for creating safe and effective messages in communications about suicide prevention, including a list of do’s and don’ts that can be used to assess the appropriateness and safety of message content. Please refer to the SPRC document for further information.

All users are required to provide a valid email address where they can be contacted.

Rules for Comments

These rules are designed to keep discussions on topic and to discourage disrespectful comments. The blog is intended to help all types of caregivers learns about and share information related to suicide bereavement support. It is also visited by bereaved people themselves and others who have an interest in suicide bereavement. We want everyone to have a helpful and safe experience when they are here.

Information posted or emailed through this service (“Content”) should be considered public. By using this Service, you agree that you will not post or download any of the following material on this Service or its internet mailing lists, bulletin boards or other forums (“Postings”):

• Material that infringes on the copyright of another person (plagiarism, or passing off other peoples’ material as your own) or copyright material not referenced or acknowledged;

• Unauthorized posting of personal information of other users (name, address, phone number, email, etc.);

• Material that contains vulgar, obscene, or indecent language or images;

• Material which defames, abuses, or threatens others;

• Statements that are bigoted, hateful, or offensive;

• Material that advocates illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them;

• “Flaming”: There is a difference between voicing a legitimate concern or grievance and simply badmouthing or some other form of written abuse of a person, organization, product, or service; the former is allowed, but the latter is not;

• Material that creates a false identity for the purpose of misleading others;

• Advertising or other form of commercial solicitation;

• Files that contain viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, corrupted files or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer or property of another;

• Material that restricts or inhibits any other user from using and enjoying the Service.

Ownership of Content

By posting Content to any blog, you warrant and represent that you either own or otherwise control all of the rights to that Content, including, without limitation, all the rights necessary for you to provide, post, upload, input or submit the Content, or that your use of the Content is a protected fair use. IN NO EVENT, WILL SAVE BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES THAT MAY BE INCURRED OR EXPERIENCED ON ACCOUNT OF PARTICIPATING IN THE SERVICE OR ENTERING INTO OR RELYING ON THESE TERMS OF USE AND SERVICE.

Privacy

SAVE does not share personal information from users of this blog with any third party. We use information from your visit for only two purposes:

• To analyze site performance through the use of cookies. You can turn off cookies at any time by modifying your internet browser settings;

• To contact you via the email you used to access the blog. You can opt out (cancel) email from SAVE at any time through a link that is supplied in every email.
