Editorial Guidelines
SAVE’s decisions about comments on this blog are informed by, among others, the Suicide Prevention and Resource Center’s SPRC “Safe and Effective Messaging for Suicide Prevention” which offers evidence-based recommendations for creating safe and effective messages in communications about suicide prevention, including a list of do’s and don’ts that can be used to assess the appropriateness and safety of message content. Please refer to the SPRC document for further information.

These rules are designed to keep discussions on topic and to discourage disrespectful comments. The blog is intended to help all types of caregivers learns about and share information related to suicide bereavement support. It is also visited by bereaved people themselves and others who have an interest in suicide bereavement. We want everyone to have a helpful and safe experience when they are here.
